Ronaldo! Ronaldo!

Daniel got to fulfill one of his life long dreams a couple of weeks ago. He lives for soccer, and especially Brazil Soccer. I have been thru two world cups and I just know to expect 3hrs of soccer a day for a month every four years. Not that bad I guess... I do like the game except for tie games at 0-0. I am just so bored when no one scores. Daniel says I just don't get it. Well we couldn't leave Brazil without attending a few games, but getting to go to a national Brazil game was a treat. Brazilians are passionate about their Futbol!! We not only got to go to a game, Brazil vs. Romania, but we got to see a legend retire! Disclaimer: I did not really know who Ronaldo was before I married this guy!

I have decided to rejoin the blogging world after a two year absence. It has been a crazy and great couple of years and I have a lot to catch up on. However instead I think I am just going to start where I am at!
We having been living in Brazil for the past couple of months and having a great time.
Daniel was here for two months without me, and then I joined him at the end of April. That was a happy weekend! This last weekend we celebrated my birthday in a little swiss mountain town a few hours north from Sao Paulo:

Then we went to a nice dinner of amazing fondue! The restaurant was an adorable log cottage with fireplaces and a plaid wall!

Then we stayed in the cute hotel right above town.

The next day we decided to be daring and try a ropes course with zip lines. No safety lesson here folks just vamos! Check out the sweet helmets!

Then we finished our day with some pastels and chocolate covered strawberries on a stick!

It was an awesome Birthday weekend in a woman's dream town of leather and chocolate. So grateful for a fabulous husband who spoils me.

2008!!!

Since I am not the best at updating our posts, I decided a recap of 2008 was in order. We had a wonderful 2008, and we were so lucky to both be working part time for the first six months of the year after both graduating from the University of Utah in 2007. As a result of this we were able to play a lot and play we did.....

In January we took a 10 day trip to Maui with Daniel's parents and sister's family.

In February we moved out of our first apartment together and are able to see this from our window now...

In March we were able to take a much needed break from the winter and spend a weekend in Las Vegas with the Burks.

In April we took a trip home to Danville for my friend Sarah's wedding, and another much needed break from the snow!

In May we celebrated at the end with my 24th birthday and spring finally arriving almost in June! In June Daniel turned 25! We had a great low key start to the summer and enjoyed our pool.

In July we were back on the road and to Danville for the Call family reunion. It was a sight to see all these Call boys all grown up. As well as having 25 people sleep at my parents house.

Two weeks later my brother, Elliott returned from his LDS mission to Chihuahua, Mexico.

We celebrated with a return to Kauai, HI with my family

When we got home we added a member to our family! MiMi, Allie (Daniel's sister's) dog!
She has been a great addition to our little apartment and we love her. She is the best dog, she never barks and just loves to follow us around and cuddle.
In August we got back to work after being gone most of July. Daniel got a new job at Goldman and Sachs and is loving it. We didn't take another break until Labor Day when we took a short trip to Moab with the Burks! We had a awesome "wheatie" weekend where we bought some Keens and hit the trials!

As we moved into fall we embraced our great Utah Utes this PERFECT season and attended two awesome home games with narrow wins! Here we are at the black out game against Oregon State.

We also celebrated our adorable nephew's first birthday in October.
We had a good fall and enjoyed Halloween with friends. Our last years costumes were better than this years so i thought I would post both!

We had a good time spending Thanksgiving here in Kaysville with Daniel's parents. We got to go home to Danville for Christmas for the first time in two years!
Here we are at the Nutcraker in San Francisco!
Of course 2008 wasn't all peaches; but we were very blessed and these were the highlights instead of the lowlights. I think the hardest thing about finishing college is that its the first time that I haven't known what the next step is exactly! It should be freeing, but I think it is pretty scary. I hope we will spend 2009 looking into it... but I have decided for now just to do my best to live in the present and appreciate what I have now... if only it was that easy right!?!

july summer fun

Daniel and I were fortunate to spend most of July out of town. It started with a quick thurs to monday trip to California where all the calls where in town for a family reunion over the fourth of July. We had a lot of fun with all my cousins, aunts and uncles in Danville. Daniel went to New York and then met me in California for my brother's homecoming from Mexico. Elliott was shocked to see how much our sisters have grown! After a weekend at home we took off for a week in paradise! we went to the island of Kauai. It was absolutly beautiful and it was so nice to show my husband my family's favorite vacation spot. we stayed in a beautiful house right on tunnels beach. It was great to have my whole family together again.
